This policy explains what information The Green TV collects, how we use it, and your choices. We keep it simple and collect only what we need to run the Service.

Information we collect

• Email address — when you subscribe or sign in with an email verification code.
• Google account basics — if you choose "Continue with Google", we receive your name and email from Google (not your password).
• Comments — the name and text you choose to post.
• Usage & device data — views, likes, approximate location (country, from your IP), and basic device/browser info, to measure audience and improve the Service.
• Local storage / cookies — to keep you signed in and remember preferences.

How we use it

• To provide the Service and play video.
• To send you verification codes and, if you opt in, new-content updates.
• To show your comments and count likes/views.
• To understand what audiences enjoy and improve our content.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We use trusted service providers only to run the Service:

• Bunny.net — video hosting and delivery.
• Google — optional sign-in.
• Resend — sending verification/notification emails.
• Hosting provider — running our servers.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time. The quickest route is deleting your account, which you can also do inside the app under Profile. You may also email contact@thegreentv.com. We respond within 7 working days and complete requests within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can raise it with our grievance officer, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:

We acknowledge every grievance within 7 working days and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

Children

The Service is intended for people aged 18 and over. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 a child is anyone under 18, and processing a child's personal data requires verifiable consent from a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their data, write to our grievance officer below and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission is completely secure.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
